FAQ

Dealership email marketing FAQs

What types of email campaigns do you create?
Monthly offer announcements, service reminders and service specials, new model and inventory emails, owner retention campaigns, dealership news and seasonal campaigns. Each one is built around a single objective, such as a lease offer, a service visit or an event, so the email has one clear reason to exist and one clear action for the customer to take.
Can you use our current customer database?
Yes. Campaigns are sent only to properly collected, permission-based lists: the customers who gave your dealership their email address through a sale, a service visit or an opt-in, exported from your CRM or DMS and segmented by what fits the campaign. Every send honors existing opt-outs and includes the unsubscribe provisions the CAN-SPAM Act requires. Purchased or third-party lists are never used.
Do you create both the email copy and design?
Yes. The subject line, headline, body copy, calls to action and any required disclosure text are written alongside the design, so the message and the layout are developed together. Creative follows your dealership’s brand standards and the manufacturer’s advertising rules, and both the copy and the design are part of the same review before the email is sent.
Can our dealership review an email before it is sent?
Yes. Every campaign is delivered as a test email to the people you designate before it is scheduled, with the links and offer details in place. Requested revisions are made and a new test is sent. Nothing goes to your customer list until your dealership has approved that final version.
Can emails promote our current inventory and monthly offers?
Yes. Offer emails are built from the same lease and finance programs we publish across your website, with the required disclosures included, and inventory emails feature vehicles that are actually on your lot when the email is sent. Links go to the matching offer, model or inventory page on your website, so the customer lands on the vehicle the email showed them.
Do you create service reminder campaigns?
Yes. Service campaigns range from scheduled maintenance reminders and seasonal service messages to specific service specials, each linking to your online scheduler or the service department page. They are aimed at customers due for a visit rather than the whole list, which keeps the reminder relevant and the unsubscribe rate low.
How do you measure email campaign performance?
Delivery, open and click rates are reported for every campaign, but the numbers that matter are the actions that followed: phone calls, form submissions, service appointments booked and offer or inventory pages visited. Unsubscribes and complaints are tracked as well, because a campaign that drives short-term clicks while shrinking the list is not a success.
How frequently should our dealership send emails?
For most dealerships, two to four campaigns a month is the range that keeps the store in front of customers without wearing out the list, typically a monthly offer email, a service message and a campaign tied to something timely, such as a new model or an event. The right cadence depends on your list size and how customers respond, and it is adjusted with you.
Can you work with our existing email platform?
Yes. If your dealership already sends from a platform or from the email tool inside your CRM, campaigns are built and sent from there, so your list, history and reporting stay in one place. If you do not have one, we will recommend a platform that fits your list size and budget and set it up for you.
How do we get started?
Request a marketing assessment below. The first step is a look at your customer list, your current email activity and the offers and services you want to promote. From there, we agree on a monthly cadence, prepare the first campaign for your review and schedule it. Most dealerships send their first campaign within a few weeks of getting started.
